Port Elizabeth traffic amnesty coming to an end

Motorist who have unpaid fines with the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality are reminded that August 15, 2013 will be the final day for the three month Traffic Amnesty.

On May 15, Nelson Mandela Bay Executive Mayor, Councillor Benson Fihla announced that motorists who have been issued with traffic fines by the Municipality before 2013 will qualify for Traffic Amnesty.

Successful amnesty applicants pay half the amount of the value of their fine/s. This was introduced by the Executive Mayor to encourage motorists to take responsibility for their traffic offences.


Motorists are encouraged to use the remaining hours from now until tomorrow at 16h00 to visit the traffic department offices in Sidwell to make the necessary applications and arrangements.
